Acer aspire not playing sound through tv

Hello,
when i plug the hdmi cable from my t.v into my computer the sound doesnt come out of the t.v it still comes from the computer. How can i change this?

I'm not exactly sure on your Acer, but I had to adjust some settings in the Sound applet in control panel on a Dell. It might be someplace for you to start looking.

or if you have something like realtek hd audio manager in your taskbar you can do it there
