Acer Aspire One ZG5

A friend of mine has bought a cheap Acer Aspire One ZG5 for car MAP storage and installation using Peron Tuning software.

The laptop currently runs on XP and he's telling me that the software won't run.

Is he going to need a more recent version of Windows? If so which would you recommend? Is the laptop even capable of doing what he wants?
