I have an Acer Aspire R7 that will not power on at all. And by that, I mean when powered on, no fans will spin, there's no noise, no light, nothing. Same goes for when it's connected to a charger. So I popped off the bottom cover to see if there was any physical damage, and it all looked clean.
I tried using a voltmeter to see if there was any power given out at where the charging port connected to the motherboard. right here:
the voltmeter was able to detect power and read 19.67 volts.
So if power was able to get to the motherboard but the laptop won't power on, then I don't know what the problem is.
I'm having trouble deciding if something in the motherboard got fried, or if it's another problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
