After the stupid thing wiped the operating system, days after the warranty expired, I went through it and found the hard drive to still work, and the motherboard to still work.
But the operating system was wiped from the face the earth.
I have Windows 7 on a flash drive. I can boot it. It's taken days of being on the phone with people who can't understand me, but I finally got this far.
I can get all the way to right before installation. Where it asks me which disk to download Windows 7 onto. There is no way to pick one. I can't pick ANY of the ones that show up, I tried formating them, i tried deleting them, I tried clicking new. But it tells me now that I need to go to the bios menu and go to the advanced settings and enable them. problem is, THERE IS NOTHING LIKE THAT IN THE ADVANCED SETTINGS!!!!
The laptop is really beginning to piss me off. Especially since everything SHOULD be working, and acer wants to charge me 100 bucks to ask them a question.
