Acer Aspire V5-431 battery won't charge even after plugged in

After i plugged in the charger for my Acer Aspire V5-431, it still won't charge. But when i used the same charger and battery on my mom's laptop who use the same model as me, it's charging. I don't know what's the problem. Please help me.

Does the laptop work if you just plug in the power adapter. Does ot turn on. If not then the charging jack is probably broken

if the charger works on another PC then that means the battery or the jack as stated. But if it's the battery it usually will go gradually the jack will usually go all at once but you may get it to work if you giggle it around.

The laptop with the issue remove battery from laptop do not plug in charger hold the power button down for 30 seconds + then release it, then release it.
Then plug the charger in not the battery does it start without battery. That is if you have not tried this already.
