Acer Aspire V5-561P-6869 not charging battery. Can I use the adapter to charge the battery outside the laptop?

My Acer Aspire V5-561P-6869 is not charging the battery. It will not run with the adapter. New battery runs until dead. Blue light just flashes. I now have two discharged batteries. The adapter provides 19v dc. Can I somehow use the adapter to charge the batteries outside the laptop so I can plug them in and run the laptop to get my data?

Hi,

Unfortunately you can't charge your battery outside the laptop. If the AC adapter is not working if you remove the battery, there could only be 2 things that is faulty first is the AC adapter and 2nd is the charging port. Do try another AC adapter that has the same voltage and see if it will work or not and if it will still not work then the problem is the charging port itself.
