2 week ago my dad give me his old pc and now i was thinking about upgrading it to a mid end gaming and rendering PC so here the link i found that might work

Spec of this computer:
CPU: Intel Core2 Duo E7400
GPU: Nvidia geforce G100 + fan keep stopping every 2 seconds
PSU: SPS 220 W 115 VAC/230V NPFC
CASE: Small Factor Micro ATX Case
RAM: Slot #1 DDR2 1024Mbytes
Slot #2 DDR2 2048Mbytes
Max Bandwidth: PC2-6400 (400 MHz)

Here are the parts i want to get:
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400 bought it already for $56
GPU: Asus Geforce GTX 750 Ti Strix for $200 with postage
PSU: Corsair VS450 450W for $57 picked up
CASE: DeepCool Tesseract SW Black and Blue LED for $49 picked up
RAM: A Friend might give me a 2048Mbytes ram

I was thinking about the PSU that i choose will fit on the tesseract. i know that some of the new games need more than 4gb of ram but i just need for gaming and rendering.

Here the link for this parts:
PSU: http://www.msy.com.au/viconline/pc-components/8944-corsair-vs450-450w-power-supply-units-psu.html
CASE: http://www.msy.com.au/viconline/pc-components/15188-deepcool-dp-ccatx-tsrbkbl-tesseract-sw-black-usb30-mid-tower-case-without-psu.html
GPU: http://www.austin.net.au/asus-geforce-gtx-750ti-strix-graphic-carrd.html#

Thanks for reading my thread and commenting for advice :)

you will also want more than DDR2! DDR2 is well gone now, DDR 4 has been released so you will certainly see some performance issues, also that is not a good PSU that is a very poor psu and you could have got a lot better, fair enough for sticking with the core 2, however it isn't the greatest and is quite dated and will not give you great performance, but I suppose you are on a budget, I understand, I would say possibly get a better GPU maybe go for a gtx 960 or 970 but then your system will start to become unbalanced due to your CPU

I know its out of date but it still run 2015 games like
GTA V on 1980x1024 high settings in 45-60fps
BF4 on 1980x1024 in ultra setting in 30-60fps
There are some people on YouTube Ive watched with Q9400 and gtx 750 to. It looks fine running on my rig

i got the new case and psu. now i need a gpu and 2gb ram.
the gpu i have right now is been improve because of the case. the older case doesnt have much air flow going on the gpu it always reach 110 Celsius and it lag so much when it reach 100 Celsius the minimum is 80 Celsius and now the new case have 2 external fan going and the gpu have more air flow going and the temperature drops to the minimum of 57 Celsius on IDLE and when playing game is 67 Celcius. big improvement on the gpu and the cpu.
