Acer Aspire XC-705 Recommended Graphics Card Upgrade

Hi I have a Acer Aspire XC-705 which I bought a little while ago thinking the specs were wow. Here are the specs.

Windows 10 - 64 bit
Intel Core i5 4460
NVIDIA GeForce GT705 1GB
10GB DDR3 RAM

Those are read directly off the pc, and not knowing what is necessary to know and what isn't is why I may have put unnecessary spec there.

So I know the Graphics Card is my main problem. What graphics card could I use as an upgrade to improve my gaming fps. I know this isn't the best of gaming machines, but something that could maybe fit. If i need to provide more details, let me know where to find them and just ask and I'll get back within a day,

Thank you.

You won't get anything good enough to buy in that system, case and motherboard layout prevent any card past low end, and the power supply is also too weak to run anything past basic use cards. If you want anything for gaming, sell this system and buy a used one but in a tower case with about a 300 watt or higher power supply. You can even take the CPU, hard drive and RAM out of your system and buy a case, power supply and motherboard and build your own system. Check craigslist, people are always selling parts on there. You will need to re-install Windows most likely or you may end up with a system that won't boot or is running slow.

Thanks for the reply. I bought this PC on finance for around £500, after interest etc. I am not entirely sure of the price ranges for a Good PC, If you have an idea, it will be greatly appreciated, I will do some research of my own. I live in UK if that helps.

For that system new, that is probably a normal price but you could have gotten a much better system. For a new system but in a tower form will be about the same, a used one with the same specs as your own, it should be less than half of that price. Don't know what would be available to you on the used market though. Something like this would be good, this particular model even comes with a solid state drive but it's not in the UK area https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIADT26YM5976

Then you can get a GT1030 card for it to run games on lower settings for cheap. Or you can get parts for about 500 for a newer setup that would be faster.

There are low profile GT 1030's out there.

According to Nvidia, that GT 705 is only 1w different than a GT 1030.

Okay so @logainofaids i’m so confused at to what you’re suggesting, but i’m probably going to have to consider selling my current pc and investing on a used better one if i wish to start playing games on PC too..
