battery in by aspire 6930 not charging, running windows vista- any solutions?

If the laptop works without the battery, then you can eliminate your AC adapter as the cause of the issue.

Not exactly true, have same problem, in my research seen where computer runs on AC Adapter but it is the reason for problem, I have to find a compatible adapter to see if that is my problem.
