Most hardware is useable with either OS - as long as they have drivers for it.
There's Hackintoshes - PC parts running OSX - https://www.tonymacx86.com/buyersguide/building-a-customac-hackintosh-the-ultimate-buyers-guide/
I think you can even run amd cpu now - https://amd-osx.com/

You should look up recommended system specs for the software you want to run.

I'd have one drive for OS - 500gb nvme. And another 1 tb nvme for your software. And maybe another to store design input and output files. This is what I do for my videos.

I'd by far prefer a PC rather than a laptop - cheaper, more reliable, more upgradeable.

Hi Fahim,

I would recommend an iMac or a 15" MBP. If budget is a concern check out OWC or Apple refurb. Most graphic designers that I have known use a Mac. In general, Macs are designed for graphics and pcs are designed for business related tasks. I do photography and primarily use an iMac. I could not imagine using a pc for photography or graphics. It can be done, but not preferred. Suppose it would be like a contractor using a small car instead of a truck.

Additionally, you can run windows on a Mac.

Kind Regards,
Gary

That is really not true anymore. Both PC and Mac can do the same things.

For what's its worth, I've had to fix Acer computers with software issues. I would recommend a Dell or a HP over an Acer. The one in the OP is going for 3K. If he or she is going to spend that kind of money, would recommend a Mac, especially if they are a graphic artist.
