acer display issues. Black and white dots.

Hi, I've just bought a EVGA 1080 and to go with it a Acer GN246HL 144hz Monitor.
I'm having issues with the monitor. I Have little black and white dots around the graphics on my new screen. I have another monitor running with no issues. Even changing from 60hz to 144hz hasn't helped.
Anyone got any ideas?

try the monitor on another computer even a friend's to confirm still have that issue before sending it back for warranty replacement. try a different cable.

Thanks ffg7, I've tried HDMI and DVI-D and I just hooked it up to my PS4 and its the same. I have noticed it is only happening down the left hand side of the monitor. Very strange. I'm going to pack it up and send it back.
