Acer dosen't boot (not original cd) need help

Acer pc dosen't boot, I do not have original cd and my windows ic crashed, I have cd with windows 7 and pc dosen't boot.

You need a dvd for windows 7, plus you need to set the DVD drive as primary boot device!

Is this a legal copy of windows 7?
