Good day! So, I recently bought an E5-576g. I was going to add a sata hdd when one of its screw were stripped. I had to drill that screw but made sure that I wasn't damaging any parts. After the screw were removed, I removed the ribbons connected to the motherboard and cleaned the residue of the screw with brush and air compressor. I plugged all the ribbons again and made sure it was well seated. After I press the power button, it won't boot. It can only boot when the AC is plugged in. When it boots, I can safely remove the AC and the laptop will still work. Do you have any suggestions?

Many HDDs require a spike in power to start up, and the ribbon cables may have been damaged in a way that they cannot provide that power on battery. That is all that I can guess from my knowledge. You could try to download cristaldiskinfo to look for problems with your drive.
