I just did the bios update on my old Acer Ferrari 5000 laptop. All was completed successfully, and when the computer rebooted, it shut off immediately. It actually went into a cycle of trying to boot and shutting off every 5 seconds or so. Any ideas of how to resolve? Thank you -

Not really , bricked Mobo's need to be re-programmed and there is a little people that do that , if the laptop is old and you cant get RMA try buying a new mobo for it

Thank you for your response.

Any idea where one might get hold of a replacement motherboard for the computer, alternatively buy a donor computer that has been scrapped for another reason?

Anything helps - I am rather attached to it.

Thanks
