Acer GN246HL says input 60hz and output 120hz through hdmi?

I bought this monitor a week ago and was reading up about this monitor and apparently it can only do 144hz or 120hz through dvi-d. However when I navigate through the monitor basic OS it says it is out putting 120hz through HDMI. Is that true or is it only 60hz?? Also I got a cable from HDMI 2.0 to dvi-d and it says 120hz. Right Now I am confused to whether it is actually out putting 120hz. Please let me know if it is actually 120hz.

The Monitor is saying it is outputting 120hz from the HDMI input. In Windows it says 60hz. But I am not sure if it it actually 120hz

If Windows says 60 Hz then it's only 60 Hz.
