Hello everyone.
This is driving me nuts and I hope someone out there can help!
Here are the specs:
*Intel Core i7 6700K BOX (LGA 1151, 4GHz, Unlocked)
*be quiet! Pure Rock Slim
*MSI Z170A Gaming M7
*ASUS GeForce GTX 1060 STRIX O6G-GAMING 6GB
*Corsair RM Series RM650x
*Samsung EVO 750 250GB
*Barracuda Seagate 2TB
*Corsair Vengeance LPX (2x, 8GB, DDR4-3000, DIMM 288)
*NZXT S340 case
Win 10 Pro not installed yet.
This is my new PC because the old one died. And now the old monitor doesn't work with the new PC. It worked on the old PC and also mounted via HDMI to the Laptop.
Even there it sometimes says "no signal" but I get it to work. On the PC it's completely hopeless. Neither HDMI connected on the graphics card nor onboard graphics card work. And also no luck with DVI (which I used on the old PC).
The PC was able to boot and go into the BIOS when I had it tested in the PC shop with their monitor/PSU/mouse/keyboard.
Here are some things I tried:
*reassembling the PC
*putting HDMI cable into graphics card/onboard graphics card
*take out RAM and put it back in
*plugging PC and monitor into the wall
*holding power button for 1min of pc/monitor
*pressing those sh***y buttons next to power button on the monitor to get into the menu (doesn't work)
As far as I've seen it's a common problem with Acer monitors but I never had it with my old PC. So maybe I have to buy a new monitor aswell but my cash is pretty much gone after putting it into this new PC.
Any help would be appreciated to squeeze an extra 6 months out of this monitor.
Thanks in advance!
