Acer H233H sound problems

Hello, about a year ago I purchased this monitor, one for home and one for work. Both worked great when purchased. Now the volume has greatly depleted on both. I have the monitor volume set clear up to 100 and can hardly hear it. This is on both monitors-what gives?
