Does anyone know how to remove the storage partition, usually D drive, on an acer without affecting the recovery partition on vista. Also any idea wether the recovery will still work with te new partition configuration??

Right click on my computer, go to properties, manage, and then disk drives. You should be able to reconfigure the partitions there. in regard to removing drive D, I think that is the recovery partition, i.e. if it is full of drivers and such. If not, you can wipe it from the disk management.
