Acer hdmi sound not working

Hello,
when i connect acer laptop to tv using HDMI, I get no sound but the picture is fine.
On the sound options I only see the Speakers and Digital Output options but dont see any HDMI Audio output. This used to be visible earlier (and the sound used o work) but this option suddenly vanished. Please advise.

First of all you should try updating both your video drivers and audio drivers.
http://support.acer.com/us/en/default.aspx

download and install both drivers, and simply restart and try using the HDMI cable again.

If you still have no sound feel free to comment again. 😉

I went to the link below and am unble to download and install the drivers. Nothing seems to happen.
Is there something else that I could do?
