Acer Monitor on Newegg

I was wondering why this monitor was so cheap? Scares me that I can't find any reviews on this. Was just wondering if this monitor was good quality from Acer?
Your thoughts if you were in the market for dual monitors if you'd go with this setup or buy different monitors that have reviews and such. I am looking for IPS 23"-27" with HDMI so this just had everything I wanted.

Interesting find. Apparently nobody knows anything about it. Google is only showing stores with it in stock.

It looks to just be on sale. The normal price is actually $190, not $240 BTW. Newegg does that to make it look like you are getting a better deal than you actually are. If you don't like it you can always return it.

I guess I was just wondering if the screens would last 5+ years? If Acer is known for their longevity or should I pay a little more for Benq or Asus?

Yeah like I said, nobody knows. Monitors typically last ages regardless of branding. Personally I would go with something with at least a trusted review. I got an Acer B233HU that is still going strong after 10 years. As far as we know that monitor could be complete junk or it could be the next big thing. There is simply no information about it.

You have to manually input it though, doesn't seem to be a way to direct link it. The manual and some drivers are there if you want to see it.

I'm going to order it on Monday 8/31/15 so as soon as I get it I will write a review here...in-case no one has noticed yet its an AMD free-sync display and that's just what I was looking for!

Someone pointed out that there is no way this monitor can possibly support free-sync because it lacks a display port. And Freesync currently only works through display port. Sucks. So some false advertisement is taking place over at newegg. The manual also reads in the opening paragraph that it is a 5ms response time monitor as well (but in the index chart in that same manual its listed as 4ms so who knows)

Ordered it this morning and it already has been shipped according to the newegg dashboard. Now i am going to have to ship it back but i am going to fight the fees considering the false advertising

Yea, I actually did a little more research and figured that out...AMD is pushing for Freesync standard in HDMI but its not here yet so no way this is freesync...Oh well, back to the drawing board!

It looks like they finally removed the falsely advertised "freesync" bit from the newegg stat sheet. I wish they did that before i ordered it.
