acer laptop power on, no screen display

l plugged it in and when i came back to it about an hour later and the power light came on and the screen didn't display anything, it hasn't been turned on for a 6 months as ive been on holiday.

Is the screen the only thing not coming on, or is it not getting any power on the laptop overall?
