Acer laptop will not open installation disc

My acer laptop refuses to open an installation disc. It starts to read (I can hear it), then a message appears < X D:\ is not available. Access is denied.
Help???

Hi,

Start by uninstalling/reinstall the DVD driver from Device Manager.
- Go to Device Manager then right click on the CD/DVD driver and select Uninstall.
- Reboot the laptop and that should reinstall the driver automatically upon reboot.
- Try to run that disc again and see if that resolves the problem.
- Next is to try this fix it. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/mats/cd_dvd_drive_problems
- Also try to run System Restore and put it back to an earlier date before you had this issue.

it is just that one disk or any disk? What on the disk?
