Acer monitor static and flickering

I've had this monitor for about a week now, and it hasn't had any problems, except for ~2 days ago when it did the same exact thing, but I went to display settings and fiddled around a bit and hit "apply", it worked perfectly fine. I don't remember exactly what I did, though. But now, I wake up this morning and turn everything on, and it's doing it again. So, I try to do what I did last time, but nothing is working. I've made sure everything is plugged in correctly, it's on HDMI1, etc. I have no idea what to do here, and I've read many many forums on here over the years, and they always help me out! Any idea?

So I unplugged the HDMI cable for about 15 minutes or so, plugged it back in, and it's working like normal now!

if you are having issues with a monitor only 2 weeks in... i would just return it. wait too long, and you wont be able to return it but get a refurb for it through RMA.
