I have an acer touchscreen all in one that is making a horrible hissing sound. After taking it apart I found the culprit is what I believe to be the display inverter.

I found this on ebay but it's revision # is 1.03 whereas the one in the machine is 1.01.

Acer N14939 PRS-CONVERT REV:1.03

the connections aren't the same but I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this particular issue and could let me know if this part will work.

This is what the part in the computer looks like for comparison. Thanks for your help.

The flip lock/latch that you see at the top left hand corner is found on every mobile computing display that is quintessential in connecting the screen to a PCB/GPU. lack of such can indicate that on the revised version of your touchscreen unit the latch is placed elsewhere on your unit. Can you trace where the ribbon connecting tot eh top left hand of your existing PCB goes?

For the sake of mobile computing devices it's best you source the exact replacement part otherwise it's possible that the device you're trying to repair can become damaged.
