[SOLVED] Acer N50-600-EB16 Upgrade help

So as the title says i need some help with upgrading the Acer N50-600-EB16.

The Specs are:

I5 9400F
8Gb ddr4 ram
1TB HDD
1050 2GB
500W PSU

i wanted to upgrade the GPU so i got a AMD RX580 from my friend. When i put it in this computer though it will not show anything on the monitor. The GPU lights up and the computer boots into windows but no signal.

This GPU does work as i have tested it in 2 other custom built PC.

If someone could please help me out that be great

Did you connect the required PCIE power cables from the power supply to the graphics card?
Are you connecting the display to a graphics card output and not the motherboard's Rear I/O?

Yes everything is hooked up as it should be. I even tested it with a bigger thermaltake PSU to make sure it wasn't that.

Junk PSU perhaps? The PSU requirements between the 1050 & RX 580 are quite significant.

What display are you using and how are you connecting it to the graphics card?

Its a Acer 27" and im using HDMI but i have also tried DVI-D

Is there a way for the manufacturer to only allow specific GPU's to run on there system? I have been working with computers for 25+ years and i have never seen this.

According to google other people are using this very card on this very system so why cant i. The card that shipped with the PC (1050 2GB) works without a problem so i know its not the PCIE port. I have tried diffrent PSU/HDMI everything i can think of.

I'm going to try my buddies Asus Strix GTX1060 6GB and see if that runs (if it fits).

Will update when i know if other cards will work.

Not that I'm aware of. A motherboard BIOS update may help but there really is no reason why that RX 580 shouldn't work on that motherboard.

Factory reset your bios after removing the 1050 and then install the rx and see if that helps.
