So, I recently purchased an Acer Nitro 5 and it can run games such as GTA 5, Fortnite, and CSGO fairly well. One problem I did have was with running minecraft. I'm not very smart when it comes to specs and parts and such so I came here hoping to get an answer from people who actually know what they're doing.

-8GB Ram
-Intel® Core™ i5-7300HQ 2.5 GHz; Quad-core
-NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1050 Ti
-Windows 10

Thanks!

One of the problems is that Minecraft is a demanding game GPU wise. The 'recommended system requirements' for it has not been updated in a long time, yet there's been many revisions of the game since. I remember how the game seemed to lag(especially when flying around) on my old GTX 970 card. Yet once I switched up to a GTX 1070 it no longer had any issues.

Keep in mind to that a GTX 970 out performs a GTX 1050 Ti by about 10%.

Please don't listen to toshibitsu. I have a GTX 970 and i run at over 600fps average and Minecraft is CPU bound not GPU but the Two do work together still.

The only thing i can think of is maybe your GPU is being defaulted to your intergrated GPU not dedicated so go into the Nvidia control panel.

Hit Program Settings, add the games .exe to the game list then select the game and under the feature called CUDA - GPUs you should select your GTX 1050ti then hit apply and that should help with the fps problems in that select game.

Go through all your games and do this if you have the fps problem with them. I hope i helped you. - UKIFINITE
