Acer notebook 8940g speedstep control

Is it possible to controle/disable speedstep in Acer 8940g Bios version 3114 - cannot find parameter in bios 3111, and I don't want to update bios, if the parameter is not there.

I want to disable speedstep as it causes sound-drops when using extern soundcard via Ieee 1394 connection.

Most likely no. Most laptop will never let you turn off speedstep because it needs speedstep to conserve power and keep running at good temps. I had a toshibia laptop that i had similar problem with it and could not find any way to shut speedstep off.
