Acer Notebook Window 8.1 runs slower then a turtle

Just bought an Acer notebook. Updated it to 8.1. Runs sooooo slow!! Even the 8 ran slow. I use my notebook for Facebook and Pogo games. I can no longer play either one due to how slow it is. I truly need help!!

How much RAM? That is one thing you can probably upgrade. The probability of a CPU upgrade is small. An SSD would help with boot up time and program loading, but wouldn't help with Facebook games etc.

It says Memory - 4GB DDR3 500 GB Storage. It's an Aspire V5

There a multiple Aspire V5, from a good i7 to a low end netbook. sound like you bought the low end model. then Yes they are slow.
