Solution
For GPUs, there are two ways it would be (sort of) incompatible.

First, the power supply may not have enough GPU/EPS cables to properly connect the GPU. If that happens, you'll need to upgrade the PSU. With an OEM computer like that, you should see if it uses a standard ATX power supply first, as some OEM computers use proprietary connectors. If it does, it will be very difficult or perhaps impossible to find a suitable upgrade.

Second, the GPU currently in the unit may be a different brand. This is a minor issue. If it does, then you'll need to go through and uninstall the GPU drivers before swapping in the new GPU. Once the new GPU is in, you can install the correct drivers for it.

I went to his house to check and he does have enough connectors but im also worried about the wattage if its enough but thats easy to check, but do u know if theres any clearance issues? also do u know how to check the brand of the gpu? all ik is that its a gtx 760

If there's a discrete GPU in the computer, you can tell by looking at the back. If there's a series of display connectors that run horizontally when the case is standing up, there's a discrete GPU in the machine. If there is, you can see what kind by looking in the device manager under "Display Adapters". It'll probably be an NVidia card unless it's been changed.

Regarding clearance issues, you can measure the distance between the back of the case and the nearest part that would block the GPU. If you post a photo of the inside, I can tell you what that is. This will give you the max length of the card you can use.

There are different models of the 1070, and some are shorter than others. You can probably fit some of them, but not the longest ones.

Also if you upgrade the PSU it probably needs an adapter like this one linked below , a lot of Acer's do:
Acer 24-pin to 12-pin PSU Power Supply ATX Main Power Wire Adapter

https://www.amazon.com/24-pin-12-pin-Power-Supply-Adapter/dp/B00YDN1OX2
Also look into the size of the current PSU to determine what will fit.

While SR-71 is correct, the GTX 760 that comes with your computer uses more power than the 1070 (170w vs 150w). It is highly unlikely that you need to upgrade your PSU.
