I recently bought an acer predator helios 300 PH315-53 2020 version. The audio drivers have been giving me hell to figure them out. I have a serious with them.

When i plug in my earbuds i get a windows notification from realtek audio console on what i just plugged in. I choose headphone as i prefer to use the laptop's mic but when i tried to use the earbuds' mic and chose headset the sound quality is horrible with only 1 bud working and if i press the button on the cord it fixes itself untill i release it. And the laptop also doesnt pick up the earbuds' mic
p.s if i chose the headset option in the notification not in the app itself it works fine with the audio and the mic in the earbuds but it cuts the mic after a minute or so. Thats because the earbuds mic is still read as a microphone array.

Audio issues are somewhat simple to fix if the drivers need a little nudge. You will first need to cross-reference Acer's support site and your laptop to see if you have any BIOS updates pending. If you have a number of them pending, you should update the BIOS gradually working your way to the latest version.

Once done, check and see which version of Windows 10 you're on. At the time of writing, we're on version 20H2. Once that's done, uninstall your audio drivers and reinstall them with the latest off of Realtek's support site or Acer's site(whichever is latest), manually, in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator.

See if that resolves the issue.

I have done all that previoulsy and i am currently on an older bios version because the newer ones block undervolting and gives me over heating issues.
Still not fixed i am afraid
