Question Acer Predator PO3-640

Hi everyone,

I have upgraded my RAM from 2 x 8 GB to 4 x 8GB Kingston Fury Beast 3200mhz but my pc works only on 2400mhz and XMP Profile in Bios is locked.
How can I enable the XMP profile and reach 3200mhz, have anybode an idea?

I have noticed that my CPU i7-12700F supports 3200mhz on just 2 Channel, then I ask myself why I have 4 channels on motherboard.
Very weird, do you think that this limiations with 2 channel in my case the Problem is?

Can you pass on the link to the ram kit you're working with? BIOS version for your prebuilt's motherboard? Can you see what the mainboard's tab shows?

no way you can run 4 channel 3200mhz ram because acer is not overclocking friendly. so you can buy new pc: k cpu, b/z board to use quad channel ram 3200mhz. and you should buy 4 cheap old 2400mhz ram for your acer pc to save money

I'm @Vikko151, and I am going to do my best to help you. Like you have seen, I haven't got any title, so...

Like @lolvatveo mentionned, Acer isn't overclocking friendly, and whatever, any brand like MEDION or Acer will attempt to make you unable to overclock to prevent warranty voids unless if the device was made for.

According to me, It's like you said a question of slots. Sometimes, the more RAM sticks you put, the more speed they'll "lost". On another old computer I worked on, my friend put 3 RAM sticks and this was sufficent to cap the RAM's speed to 1333MHz.

A solution I could give you is to refund (Well, it's hard to do, but I already did it once) your 4 RAM sticks and try buying 2 RAM sticks of 16 GB. Now, the question would be if your motherboard supports 16 GB RAM sticks, but I'm pretty sure.

EDIT: Yes, The Predator Orion 3000 Model 640 supports up to 64 GBs of RAM. 64 / 4 = 16 GB.

the motherboard is locked at 1.2v you can only run 3200mhz on 1.2v ram.

you can probly run 2 kits of 3200mhz but they will probly only work in duel channel not quad
