Hello,
im buying a new gaming monitor and i found the Predator XB241H Bmipr ( http://us-store.acer.com/um-fx1aa-001).
I would like to know how the color reproduction looks on this monitor compared with a IPS for example and is it true that it has true 8bit colors?I read somewhere that this monitor has a high quality TN panel, so... anyone with experience with this particular monitor?

Thanks in advance ! 😉

i know its been a while, sorry! I was sooo busy with summer and just couldn't get my monitor sent in for repair. Anyways I have it back now and I must say the colors are amazing! I can't stress how good they are, and I didn't even spend that long tweaking them. They aren't perfect right now but I can tell they will be great when i get it tuned right. Just be aware that the menu is a little confusing, but not horrible, and the monitor looks like crap out of the box. Again, sorry for the late answer.
Mine just came in yesterday... Very nice looking monitor asthetically. I got it for my PC but tested it out on my XBOX (HDMI) and it wouldn't work, sending it in for repair soon! The monitor feels very very sturdy and looks nice, like I said. As far as colors go, they look horrible out of the box. I did some very light messing around and got them nice for internet browsing. I wish I could test them on my XBOX as I am waiting for my GTX 1070 to come in. I feel like the OSD is very limiting. I use the BenQ RL2455HM on my XBOX and it seems that the BenQ has more options, or at least an easier OSD to use. Hopefully once it gets fixed I can test it out for a true review, I think the colors should be great! Don't let my bad experience here change your mind too much, defects happen.

Could you report back when you get it ? :)

Certainly!

Thanks 😀

I am guessing you have perfected the colours on your monitor by now ? I'm planning on getting this monitor, do you mind telling me what settings you adjusted to make the colours better ?

for a general better color, mine will do. But it is not the best and I am still trying to figure it out and hear from other people.
Under picture, I put the Acer eColor Management to Graphics. This might sound confusing now but once you get it you will know what I mean.
Brightness: 97
Contrast: 50
Gamma: 2.2
Color Temp: User
Saturation: 100
Red: 127
Green 127
Blue 127
Cyan 127
Yellow 105
Magenta 127

Again not much changed from original color and it looks decent. Definitely could change some things tho, which might make it better. And put your brightness where you want it. I typically like mine really bright so you might want to turn it down some.

hey, how is your experience with ACER XB241H so far, will any of you recommend buying it ?
i was looking to buy it so your onion will be really helpful

Sorry for the late late late answer... The monitor works great. I don't have any dead pixels, etc. The Gsync is amazing and the only reason i could justify paying for this monitor. If you don't have a PC that runs solid higher fps ranges (60-144) I don't know that this would be worth it for you.

As far as pic quality goes, its decent. Its a TN panel so its not jaw dropping, but it isn't bad and I am sure if you did some research you could find some good guides.
