When you do get a GSYNC monitor, I suggest investigating how to lock the frame rate for games that might exceed 144Hz (144FPS). You have to lock to a slightly lower frame rate for some reason (such as 135FPS).
I'm not familiar with how to do this, only that you should or else it reverts to VSYNC ON or VSYNC OFF (your choice in settings).
Probably not an issue for too many titles depending on your GPU but just keep that in mind.
I suppose you might also want to lock the frame rate if you want to keep GPU fan noise down. If you lock to slightly below what a game can actually do it usually makes a HUGE difference in fan noise.
DX12 gaming can theoretically also stress the GPU more depending on how well its coded which again can increase fan noise. Want an example of how that might sound? Run FURMARK. Basically, not all of the GPU's processing areas are used in games at the same time. DX12 is making it easier to do so and when that happens the GPU runs hotter.
