Hi, I am looking for best monitor at 1440p with high refresh rate and IPS panel. Other monitor seems a little too expensive. I find XB271HU is at the sweet spot, though it could be better.

I just wanna know. How does this monitor serve you for gamer and for video/photo editor? I like to use this monitor for both. IPS, higher refresh rate and 1440p is my concern.

I would suggest reading professional reviews of that monitor as well as from buyers on B&H Photo. It's an 8-bit panel and not a 10-bit which means professional level color reproduction. You can calibrate it though to improve the picture quality with buying an aftermarket calibrator, but that costs money too. If you aren't a professional needing exact color reproduction, it's a decent enough panel that is well rounded. The only issues I've seen about it are the lack of panel backlight uniformity (brighter on one side than the other for example). But that is only noticeable in dark gaming conditions like going into a cave or looking at night photos with room lights turned off.

Also it's an AHVA panel made by AU Optronics (their version...
