Question Acer Predator XB273K monitor exits the game when i press it's power button ?

Hello everyone i have this problem while playing: i would like to be able to leave the screen off while it is running in the background but the monitor won't let me; as soon as I press the monitor's power button it quits the game and takes me back to the desktop. I checked the energy saving settings and I tried to set the screen to turn off also from the PC power button.

Please help me.
