Acer R240HY Ghosting issue

So I bought a new monitor and got it today, fired it up etc etc and I noticed a weird issue in my games. It seemed like everything had a slight ghost like shadow behind it when moving, so after looking it up I am now discovering "Ghosting". Is there any way to fix this, or is this some sort of defect I would be stuck with no matter what using this monitor? The monitor is the Acer R240HY.

It should be okay for games so it must be your screen.

Does it occur for all games? What about a 3D screensaver? Movies? Try those and reply.

Hey, man. If you're still having this problem, I highly suggest you disable the OD (Overdrive) option in the monitor settings menu (the section with the wrench icon). I have this exact monitor and I thought the ghosting was because of the response time, but this completeley got rid of the issue. Hope this helps.

When you tweak monitor settings use this UFO test to see if the ghosting is gone, its fairly easy to spot it.
