I have the Ace S201HL monitor. Bought it for 99$.. I love it compared to my old CRT, but im just curious about something. I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.. When i right click on the desktop and go to change resolution it says im in Analog mode? and im connected with a DVI cable that it came with Its a 24 Pin DVI connector so im pretty sure thats digital right? im just confused if im actually getting a digital signal or not or if there will even be a real difference if im not.

no i dont have the adapter on it. My GPU is a MSI R5770 Hawk, and i have just straight DVI from the card to the DVI plug in on the monitor, and there is a plug in on the monitor for VGA input as well but nothing is plugged into that. I have a DVI-D Single Link cable connecting them. It has 18 pins and 1 flat ground with no 4 pins around that so im assuming thats a digital cable? I just dont understand why it tells me im connected as Analog.

its not really a message. when i open the screen res menu, there is a option to select Display: and the only option to choose from says AcerS201HL(Analog) even if i change the resolution it does nothing? i might be in Digital I have no clue lol.

Oh, I misunderstood. You're talking about how Windows identifies the display in the Screen Resolution dialog, along with Resolution and Orientation, right? Based on your description of the DVI cable you're using, it can't actually be analog. Does it really matter that much if Windows is confused about whether it's analog or digital, as long as it displays properly?
