Acer S3 Ultrabook - White Screen

Hello,

This is a brand new Acer Ultrabook laptop, Model: MS2346, and the screen has a white stripe going across the display immediately upon bootup.

After some research, I'm pretty certain it's got something to do with either the display cable, or the lcd screen itself.

My question is, how can you troubleshoot to know which one (cable, or screen) is causing the problem? I don't want to have to buy an lcd just to have the same problem happen because the cable is defective, or vise versa.

Because it is brand new it should be covered under the one year factory warranty. I'd get in touch with Acer and see if they have any suggestions. Otherwise, they'll have you send it in for a fix or a replacement.
