"100,000,000:1 contrast ratio"

I know that everyone does it nowadays, but the blatant lying about contrast ratios is getting truly ridiculous...

I don't even like taking my hand off my mouse to use the keyboard that is a few inches away, let alone reach across my entire desk to use a touch screen monitor.

So while useless junk like this is being produced, touch monitors for automotive use are completely ignored.

Too small, too low res, and too expensive for it's size.

And anyway, who want's to get fingerprint smudges all over their desktop display anyway?

Yeah I'm sure people are dieing to do a triple monitor setup at 1600x900 resolution with touch screens that are like double the price of 10890p monitors.

I refuse to support any manufacturer that dares to offer anything lower than FHD. Apple sells Retina MBPs with 13'', Samsung crammed QHD+ (3200x1800) into the same 13'', Dell has a workstation laptop with 17'' QHD+... take your 1600x900 and 1366x768 somewhere else. Like people above said, it's [almost] 2014.

Nice price on tablets; people are willing to pay more for screen resolution quality and just do not buy the bottom price items anymore; especially people who have come accustom to high resolution screens of their smartphones. These people don't want to go back to looking at low resolution anything screens every again!

Acer and may manufacturers seem to think that if you have a rock bottom price; it sell itself - only with the right features inside will it do that - screen resolution and processor are the two biggies.

Really though, I think a lot of folks commenting forget that there is a need for touch screens for things like Point of Sale systems, which obviously don't need to have the highest resolution or color representation. The resolution and price is a great improvement over previous offerings in this area.
