Question Acer Swift 3 - 4700U or i7-1165G7 ?

My brother is looking for a laptop to browse, explore, and study from. He's in a special intelligence unit in the military/police - and each day after 5PM he says he's done with his work and got nothing to do in their base (which changes often). So i'm looking for something light enough to carry around (he constantly goes from one place to another). Once or twice a week he comes visiting home, and wants to be able to hop on Fortnite and play with his cousin. Had a desktop, but his 7970 graphic card just died. Instead of buying a new card, I thought if we could plug his laptop onto a monitor that would save him the money on a new GPU (or an Xbox, as I first suggested - since he gets such a beast of a hardware for so cheap). He's not a gamer, plays casually on a 60 or 75hz monitor, couldnt care less about render quality, etc. Just needs to be playable at whatever 3D quality.

So I thought the Acer Swift 3 could be great, since they also ship to Israel from Amazon (it ends up $850 total after import and shipping, which is still 50% of what they charge for it here). But which version?

There's one with 4700U which comes with 512GB SSD, and one with the i7-1165G7 which comes with 256GB SSD and DDR4X.

I snatched the i7-1165G7 because it was on sale for the same price of the 4700U, but I can cancel and get the 4700U instead if it's a better computer.

So, which one would give him higher FPS on Fortnite? ^^
And which one is better all-around for his uses?

On one hand, the 4700U gets so much great reviews on Amazon ("Editors Choice", 1700+ 4.5+ avg scores, etc). On the other hand, the 7-1165G7' seems to have about 5 hours extra of battery time and its GPU seems more powerful than the 4700U :

Even thought when I youtubed each GPU + Fortnite, I found confusing results.

What do you say?
For the same price, which version would you get if you were him?

Also, if there's another laptop I should look at, by all means throw it my way. I'll check if it ships to Israel.

the acer swift 3x have a dedicated gpu

acer swift 3 only have igpu which is slower then 4700u

Yes iGPU is enough - I can see they can both play Fortnite (Low) on very playable FPS (50+).

But which is better?

did you get the exact model from the review? that look to be better then 4700u

I got the one with the i7-1165G7, the review is on the i5 (its GPU has 80 units compared to 96 on the i7)
