I am looking to upgrade my acer aspire x1930, It's a small tower and the graphics card space is around 15cm in length and 8cm in height.

Currently it has 220w PSU but I have purchased a 500w PSU ready to support a better graphics card.

Some basic info (if its relevant) :

I am looking to upgrade to a card that can handle playing all the Sims 3 xpansions on HIGH, Skyrim on Medium/High and many of the new MMORPG's such as Neverwinter and Tera on High with these specs AND at an affordable price (I'm looking to spend around £130)

Any recommendations are welcomed and suggestions.

Thank you

[EDIT] I have also just found out that the case I have is called a SFF Chassis and it's virtually impossible to find a high end psu to fit this (looks like i'm sending back the psu when it arrives tomorrow morning) Would buying a new case be okay and will all my components fit? Sorry, I;m new to all of this :3

Solution
Hi, as per your needs, I am afraid you have to do a serious upgrade.

1. You need a Mid Tower cabinet ( to fit all your components).
2. A good Motherboard.
3. A powerful CPU (that can handle all the processes).
4. A decent mid-end to high-end GPU(to play all the games in high settings).
5. A better PSU at least 650watt 80plus certified (Bronze, Silver, Gold)
You can keep your RAM, and your Monitor.

Oh wow :ouch: Tbh would I just be better off buying a new pc?
I mean, my friend has the same pc as me and bought a new chassis, PSU and graphics card and her system runs amazingly well with everything at medium graphics and high textures...
But obviously for me to have mine at high it seems pointless to upgrade all of that only keeping my ram and monitor...

Thank you for the help.

I helped my brother do a small upgrade to his acer x1930 just get a new mid tower case with a 500w PSU or better I suggest the Cm Force 500 by cooler master its a mid tower case that comes with the PSU. then get a graphics card. So all the specs you have but in a better case and PSU with an AMD Radeon HD 7750 is the PC my Brother has. Best of luck.
