Acer X223w has distorted wash lines making a flickering effect. How do i fix it?

I have had the monitor for about 6 years and I have notice since about 7 months ago I have been getting these weird wash lines on the screen.
Originally I ignored them because i thought it was just like a temporary thing. but recently they became more intense and more visible. Its very distracting.

i have tried switching the VGA cable with 3 different cables i had.
Tried switching the AC Power Cable.
I tried on a different computer and a laptop.
Non of them methods have worked and i really do not want to have to buy another monitor.

Anyone got any suggestions?

My guess is they are caused by electrical interference.

I have tried using a different VGA Cables and a whole different computer still it does this to me. Any other suggestions that you have would be appreciated.

my monitor does not support DVI port only VGA

these say you have both dvi & vga.
