Acer xf240 "white screen" problem

So I've just got a new monitor for Christmass.
It was functioning perfectly until today(3 days after set up).
It is an acer xf240h.
While using the computer my screen just went white. I could still hear the sound of the game.
I tried rebooting but as soon as my monitor turns on it goes white. It is obvious that the computer is working fine so it has to be with the monitors software or something.
I've also tried switching cabels from DVI-D to HDMI
My Pc: MSI b170 gaming motherboard
MSI nVidia gtx960
16gb ram
i5 6500 intel cpu

I've got the same problem, i have the same graphics card as you aswell, might be something there thats not working.

If someone knows anything about this, please help us!<3

*UPDATE*

I somehow managed to fix it, i just played around with the display port cable and it just started working again
