i have recently got an acerpower fe and i booted it up perfectly fine so i decided to upgrade a few things i put in another stick of ram and also out in another internal harddrive through the IDE cable hooked up to the cd/dvd drive that has two ports on it the harddrive i put in is an older one that only has IDE hook up but after turning the desktop back on nothing happened the cd/dvd drive light steadily blinks and nothing shows up on the screen after removing the hardrive and stick of ram i turned it back on and same thing cd/dvd drive light blinks and nothing still on screen please tell me whats going on??!!!

A bit hard to make out exactly what you did, you were adding drives, when you removed all the things you added did you make sure everything is plugged in properly the same way it was when you started? If it's an IDE setup, is the slave/master setup on the drives correct? Try resetting BIOS using the motherboard jumper? Make sure power and video cables are in? Re-seat the components?

when i removed it all i did make sure it was all in as it was before and its not an ide set up it has a sata harddrive set up but i just pluged the ide harddrive into the other ide plug right under the cd/dvd drive and i also have no idea how to reset the bios using the motherboard jumper truthfully have no idea what that is lol and i made sure the power and video cables were plugged in properly and i did reseat all the components as the one forum i was on recently explained to me before but i also have found out that when i plug it in a beep goes off if i turn it off and back on again the beep dose not sound off but it i unplug for a while and plug it back in the beep starts again i was reading a few things about beep codes but could find nothing that has anything to do with the model particularly that i have but i would like for you to explain a little more about resetting the bios with the motherboard jumper when you have time to read this

i have also unplugged a smaller sata drive from a laptop that i know boots and plugged in place of the harddrive that will not boot in the desktop the same thing is also happening there if that helps you in helping me if not disregard this lol like i had said hardware is not really my strong suit i would b able to fix it just like i did when the bios menu did show up but as of right now nothing shows up on the screen which tells me something has gone wrong with what i had done

Figured id give an update been doing alot of research tried everything down to resetting the CMOS nothing worked however i replaced the original stick of RAM that came with it and TADA its working
