acess same email account at office and home.

I am setting up a clients email account on outlook and know from previous interactions with it myself that if you download an email at home it will not show up on the office outlook. If you leave it on your server does it 1. get re-downloaded to your office express 2. if not what is the best way to handle this problem? I was thinking that all they would have to do is forward it back to same email or is there a more technical way of doing this?

I can only think of an IMAP setup and you deleted or moved the email. I've never had that issue and I have a Thunderbird at home and at work hooked up to my work email.
