Acid blobs and astral plane

I understand that I have to use confused ?oCM
on astral, to get rid of the riders.
My question is, how many of them do I need?
The answer would probably be the number of squares
divided by the number of blobs created by one scroll...
Maybe someone has been doing this before and remembers
the approximate number of scrolls used?
I need this, because I'm finishing (at least I think so)
my extictionist, and I'm stashing ?oCM for use on astral,
but I could as well polypile some if I knew how many I'd need.

Testing in wizard mode took 38 ?oCM to fill the entire astral plane up with
blobs. I'd say to lure all the riders up into one room, kill them all, then
begin the "blobbing".

A quick Revelation check shows that Pestilence wasn't a Rider.

If you use the / command and type in Pestilence you'll find out that it
