I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. I just had a new TOSHIBA harddrive installed by a
technician, and just need some help with drivers.
Motherboard ASUS A85XM-A
The problem is under device manager where ACPI x64-based PC is listed, the driver
says Microsoft Driver 6.1.7600.16385 which is from 2006, and says no files have been loaded
for this device..
I also have AMD A4-5300 dual core processor with the same microsoft driver.
Drivers I have installed
Display Adapter AMD Radeon HD 7480d graphics. 12.105.00. this is working fine.
AMD Sata Controller driver 1.2.1.402 AMD
AMD USB 3.0 Host Controller 1.1.0.185 working fine
AMD USB 3.0 Host Controller 1.1.0.185
AMD USB Root Hub 1.1.0.185 working fine
AMD USB Root Hub 1.1.0.185
I have looked everywhere for answers, even on asus, and I do not have any experience
with drivers. If I try to install AMD crimson edition 15.7.1 it will not work. I am in confusion.

My computer is starting a lot slower than it used to. I do not know if these old Microsoft
Drivers are anything to do with it or not.

Solution
ACPI x64-based PC - Microsoft driver dated 2006 - there is no problem with that - all is normal.

AMD Processor - Microsoft driver dated 2006 - there is no problem with that either.

Neither are responsible for slow performance, the cause lies elsewhere.

I just want to thank Phillip for his answer, and not treating me like an idiot. I just don't have much knowledge of drivers,
and if these are okay I will leave it alone.
