Acrobat reader fails in search

Hi. I have been trying to search a PDF in acrobat reader. This is a bank statment and there is a clear entry on there at the top TESCO (Supermarket). It fails with nothing found. I have typed it in captials even as it apears on the bank statment. FINALY, I unistalled and re-installed it. Still mot working. Has anyone noticed this. I am using a desktop PC with W11(64). I have also tried it on my laptop with W10(64).

There are searchable PDFs and non-searchable PDFs.
Your statement is obviously the non-searchable type.
Go to https://www.pdf2go.com/create-searchable-pdf to convert it.

Was this PDF created as a text document or is it simply an image of a page of text? (it does make a difference)

This is a bank statment issued by the bank as a PDF. I have also noticed that some PDFs can be scrapped / copied and pasted elswhee like notpad or word. This one is not allowing that. Maybe the bank PDF is not searchable but I am using Adobne reader so it is an adobe product.

Text saved as PDF - Searchable.
Image saved as PDF - Not Searchable.

This sounds like the latter.

Ok so they must scan produced documents and upload them. But the link i got to make them searchable is a valuble tool. Thanks.
