Activating a second core?

Hey everyone, I just bought a AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual core processor 6000+ 3.0 GGhz. I have no idea what those specs mean. But my question is..Since it is a dual core, do i have to activate the second core somehow?

No, it is automatically working. You bought a dual core, so you have a working dual core.
