I have Windows 8 and it keeps telling me to activate it but I got Windows 8 with my computer and now I have bought a Windows 10 product key and I don't know how to activate it. Can anyone help?

1. If Win 8 came with your system, why was it unactivated?
2. For the Win 10, you just need to install it.
Go here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10/
Download that tool, create your install media, install
When it asks, input your Win 10 license.

But you didn't need to 'buy' Windows 10. If you had gotten your original Win 8 fixed, you could have Upgraded to Win 10 for free.
Where did you get the Win 8 and Win 10 licenses?

My Windows 8 that i got with my computer was a trial version i think so now its gone and i doesn't let me update to windows 10 it says activate your windows which i have tried with no success. For the Windows 10 I just bought it from CentreCom (instore).

OK, so you purchased the Win 10.
As above, install it. When it asks, you enter the license key you got.

When it checks my device compatibility it says everything but my OS is fine for my OS it says 'You will need to activate Windows before upgrading'

Right. You can't Upgrade a non-activated OS.
DO you have anything critical on this PC?
You may need to do a full wipe and install of Win 10. Maybe.

Boot from the Win 10 install media.
Start the install process.
It will ask for the Win 10 license key..
It may or may not give you the option to save whatever is currently on the PC.

As above. Download the MediaCreation tool, and make your own USB or DVD install media.
Boot from that.
